This week America received a 'C' in reproductive rights overall, with 15 states receiving an 'F'. However, reproductive rights have been improving significantly in the U.S over the past year, according to the article. So I guess we should all be celebrating and shaking our heads all at the same time. Let's hope 2015 brings about some real strides in the field of women's health.
29 Reasons Daria Was TV's Greatest Cynic
Realizing I've had Amazon Prime for years now, I've started watching a show I've heard way too much about on tumblr- Daria. I'll keep this one short and sweet. Is Daria a really good show? Yes. Could it be an Audio Book and be just as effective at conveying thought provoking sarcasm? Also Yes. Should you watch it? I think the cynic inside all of us has already sped through the first 2 seasons.
As a person constantly thinking about social issues and, honestly, when the next big sale is rolling around at my favorite outlet mall this article is pretty much perfect. It speaks on a new movie, Selma, which portrays Martin Luther King Jr's historic march from Selma to Montgomery and how the equal rights movement as a whole was influenced by the clothing decisions of it's participants. These themes contribute to a larger discussion on how clothing and class are often linked throughout history and provides an interesting look at the movies many talking points.
This week Childish Gambino released a music video for his song Sober, which is included on his EP Kauai. This is one of my favorite songs on the entire album so I psyched to see a music video for it roll around. Typical of his video's... well.... there's nothing typical about his videos so just go check it out- it won't disappoint.
